Goldhawk Associates and working with a large independent firm of chartered accountancy in North Kent who are looking to appoint an audit senior/manager to their not-for-profit audit team. The firm has a large team and they have a varied client base servicing individuals, businesses, schools, and charities. The firm are looking for an audit senior/manager due to business growth. They are ideally looking for someone with previous experience of servicing not for profit clients as this role will sit within this team and work largely supporting their charity based clients but also, schools and other related businesses. There is also the opportunity for you to gain exposure to other clients and support in other areas of audit if you want more exposure and variety.

Depending on the level of the appointment, you will be responsible for:

Conducting audit and accounts jobs, ensuring deadlines are met
Managing a portfolio of clients, leading audits, and a team of auditors
Producing a detailed Audit plan and working within budget
Supervising and delegating the team
Monitoring and managing the progress of jobs, ensuring all budgets are met
Checking and reviewing the work
Signing off Audit sections and completing the file before passing it to the Manager/Partner for review
Working to deadlines and within agreed budgets

They are looking for an experienced ACA or ACCA qualified auditor with demonstrable experience of working with not-for-profit clients. This is an external audit position with elements of internal controls and financial due diligence along with other ad hoc duties and responsibilities so a flexible approach and attitude are key in this role.
