A well established local developer respected for their build quality and setup, Building across South East London and Kent they work in both Social housing and the higher end private market typically on schemes between 40 - 100 units, Schemes are varied but include RC frame apartment schemes, Traditional build low level town centre schemes and larger gated traditional housing projects. Long established and with excellent client relationships they are excelling in a difficult market with multiple current live sites and 3 more starting in the coming months, these extra projects have created a new role in the commercial team for an experienced quantity surveyor. Working from newly refurbished purpose built offices you will be one of 3 surveyors working from the head office in Greater Bromley and be part of an exciting time within the business.

Your new role
As QS you will work as part of a team reporting to the Commercial director, You will be directly responsible for your own projects, typically overseeing one or two main schemes on site and working on the pre-construction elements of another. The role will involve all elements of quantity surveying including monthly valuations, assessing variations, authorising payments, measuring/remeasuring works Monthly CVR reporting and generally overseeing all commercial decisions on site. The role will be office based visiting sites as required, Working within an experienced but motivated and vibrant team this is a great opportunity to join a fast moving respected contractor.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an intermediate or senior QS with experience of working in the Housebuilding sector with either a main contractor or Developer, You will be comfortable managing your own schemes and confident in carrying out the above duties. A Surveying qualification is preferred but not essential, The key attribute being sought is enthusiasm for the role, and someone who wants to Join a growing company long term and become part of the already positive culture in the office.
