We are looking on behalf of a local housing association for a temporary Well-being and Maintenance assistant.
This would be a great opportunity for someone with a background in Social Care who is looking for a new venture.
We are looking for the right soft skills and personality to join a great team that support potentially vulnerable adults with their housing requirements.
Purpose of the role
To ensure your employer meets their landlord obligations in relation to health and safety and other areas of compliance, repairs, estate services and maintenance within our Older Persons Independent Living accommodation, providing a safe and well-managed living environment for our residents.
To undertake in agreement with residents' well-being checks to enable residents to sustain and maintain their homes and remain within their community.
Your day will consist of visiting older persons' sites on a weekly basis to conduct resident welfare checks, building inspections, and testing of fire alarms. Ensuring all actions are recorded so that we are complying with their responsibilities as a Landlord.

You will be the main person that residents will see and engage with. You will have excellent customer service skills, good knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguards.

You will also be working collaboratively with our Tenancy Management Officers to assist residents to understand and follow their tenancy agreements. Being observant to our residents with additional needs and signposting them to appropriate support.

Hybrid: On site 70%, home/office 15% each
Salary: £26,651
Hours: 37.5
6-month contract
Driving Licence & DBS are essential

This is a fast-paced role and where the day can change very quickly.
We are seeking to find an excellent communicator who is reliable, resilient, and motivated, along with a great work ethic and a can-do attitude to join our team.

We would like someone who is a team player who can also be independent, flexible, reactive, and adaptable at short notice.

You will also be expected to participate in the out of hour's on-call. This currently operates on a rota basis from which you will be on for 1 week every 8 weeks for emergencies within older person's accommodation located in Sutton and Croydon.
