My client is a rapidly growing, forward-thinking company dedicated to providing innovative and sustainable power solutions to meet the world`s growing mobile and off grid energy needs whilst minimizing environmental impact.

To capitalise on their growth they are now in need of someone to join their sales team as a Sales Development Representative to work closely with the Commercial Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a range of market sectors including Marine, Specialist vehicles and off highway equipment, as well as to play a key role in helping the business achieve its plans for future growth.

Key Responsibilities;
You will be an experienced sales professional, excellent at building relationships with customers and taking advantage of opportunities. Technical skills would be an advantage but your sales experience is of more interest. You will largely spend your time on the road visiting potential customers, whilst also regularly visiting head office. You will be part of the companies trade show team, and where applicable visit other relevant trade shows.

As a Sales Development Representative you will:
- Develop new business across all market sectors, be responsible for increasing the pipeline.
- Undertake sales prospecting, connect with clients through cold calling, across social media platforms or utilising other strategies as applicable.
- Understand key sales data, carry out customer and market research.
- Educate potential clients as to the features and benefits of various solutions.
- Attend trade shows both where the business is exhibiting to support the activity and other ad hoc shows as applicable.
- Be an effective brand ambassador; the face of the company and promotor of products

Knowledge and Experience;

- Proven experience within a sales development role (industry specific would be an advantage but not essential)
- Experience with CRM packages
- An ability to understand technical products
