An opportunity to join a specialist Lloyds' syndicate as an experienced Actuary with responsibilities across reserving and pricing. You will be a key player in ambitious growth plans, working closely with the Active Underwriter to review new and renewal cases as well as reserving parameters plus much more. The successful candidate will enjoy being empowered as part of a small team and be involved in shaping the strategic direction of the syndicate.



An overview of responsibilities and areas of influence …



* Support the Active underwriter in risk selection and portfolio management
* Attend pre and post renewal meetings
* Analyse outwards reinsurance provisions
* Quarterly reserving reviews
* Liaison with external partners regarding reserving and capital modelling
* Ensure the integrity of data for regulatory reporting requirements
* Ongoing development of actuarial methodologies and tools
* Lead data validation tasks
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure data integrity
* Monitoring claims experience against expectations



What you need to bring …

* Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries
* Experience in the Lloyd's / London market involving practical application of actuarial methods and statistical techniques
* Excellent communication skills
* Good problem-solving skills
* Ability to work across multiple stakeholders
* Excellent time-management / prioritisation skills
* Good IT skills
