Job Information

I am currently supporting a client based in the TN area, West Kent. They are al niche Firm, that has a prestigious client base, and they are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior/Assistant Manager/Manager to support their accountancy service provision for their clients, supporting the Senior Managers and Directors. This role is due to the growth and expansion of the firm.

The Firm is a Chartered Accountancy practice which specialises in providing bespoke tax advice. Their clients are based mainly in London or further afield. The clients range from AIM companies where they provide tax consulting advice to high-tech start-ups that are growing rapidly, where they provide the advice, they need on tax issues and other support on compliance matters. This includes bookkeeping and preparation of management and statutory accounts etc.

They are recruiting an experienced accountant who can work with their clients to provide the accounting support they need.

This includes:
Managing the team(depending on experience)
Bookkeeping using Sage Line 50 and Xero
Management accounts
Preparation of statutory accounts using IRIS.
Preparation of VAT returns
Providing support on payroll and other compliance issues including company secretarial when needed.
Working with the Tax team and providing support where appropriate.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office.

The individual will manage the team and support the directors and work to keep the compliance position of their client portfolio up to date.
It will be helpful, but not essential for you to have some experience in the preparation of corporation tax computations.

About you:

You need to have good communication and team management skills and technical experience in the whole accounts process, for example, from book-keeping to VAT/management accounts to accounts preparation, as you will be managing a team and their deadlines. You must be able to demonstrate previous experience in these areas as the role cannot support someone who is looking to step up or a role to grow into.

You will be a qualified accountant ACA or ACCA: used to being in a professional environment and working with clients. You will need to have the ability to learn to analyse client situations to identify issues and opportunities and apply your experience to help provide solutions to our clients. You should also have good communication skills, and be systematic, diplomatic, and focussed.

The firm can offer flexible working but depending on the level of the appointee the role will involve managing, training, and developing the staff, so they would like you to be in the office more, but hybrid working is still an option.

£50,000 - £60,000 Pension, Parking, Flexible working, Hybrid working.

Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications currently being received, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
