You will be joining a highly reputable education group with more than 30 years of experience educating people across the London area. You will be joining a busy finance team, with interactions with multiple senior stakeholders across the Trust.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the internal financial reporting for the group, ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness. You will business partner with different department stakeholders, as the business goes through an exciting period of change. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

* The preparation of monthly management accounts for head office departments
* Preparing and monitoring head office budgets
* Providing financial advice to budget holders preparing funding bids and business cases. Meeting regularly with budget holders to assist in their budget management
* Preparing year-end papers and supporting schedules for head office activities
* Liaising with the Internal Audit team and External auditors
* Assisting with various ESFA/DFR submissions and audits
* Reconciliation and review of monthly inter-academy recharges
* Assisting the Financial Controller with treasury management, managing cash flow, funding and capital expenditure
* Review of monthly journals (e.g. prepayments, deferred income, academy recharges)
* Identifying and evaluating opportunities for improvements in process

What you\'ll need to succeed

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent), with experience producing monthly management accounts including analysis of variances and meaningful commentary. Experience in the education sector, or straight from practice would be beneficial but not essential. You\'ll bring month-end, year-end and audit preparation experience, and excellent communication skills to manage multiple senior non-financial stakeholders. Excel skills to manipulate large quantities of data would be highly beneficial.

What you\'ll get in return

You will receive a salary of up to £60,000 per year, an annual performance and loyalty bonus, and a pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.
