Venrec are recruiting on behalf of our client for Part Time Class 1 Drivers based within the Sittingbourne area.

The role will entail:

• Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
• Delivering to RDC’s and collections to and from farms.
• The shifts are on average 12 hours long.
• Flexibility for shift start times and occasional nights out.
• Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Full Class 1 licence (Minimum 6 months experience).
• Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
• No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
• Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
• Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.

Shifts available are across a 7 day period starting from 01:00 hours to 11.00pm and we can currently offer 3 to 5 shifts per week, with additional work once our client starts their peak from April onwards.

All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (2–3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday)

Pay Rates:

• Days - £15.75 (Monday to Friday).
• Nights - £17.25 (Monday to Friday).
• Saturday hours – Day £20.00/ Night £20.70.
• Sunday hours + Bank Holiday – Day £23.62/ Nights £28.87.

The rates are all PAYE and holiday accrual is in addition to the above rates and is paid weekly.
