ROLE: Tax AssistantLocation: West Malling, Kent (Office Based)Hours: Full time or part time (24 - 35 hour week)Organisation: Accountancy Practice
Key Accountabilities:

* Working with Director and Managers on technical assignments/projects.
* Overseeing/liaising with clients, HMRC, working with the Director on successful delivery and planning solutions across both personal and corporate tax.
* To meet new and current clients with the appropriate Director/Manager planning, researching and note taking of meetings and being a main point of contact with those clients moving forward.
* Research and find supportive information to support Director's decisions.
* Providing support to our Accounts Manager and her team as and when necessary during busy periods assisting with tax questions such as CGT, IHT, income tax planning, and VAT to ensure all deadlines are met.
* Assisting Accounts Manager with providing analysis and forecast financial reporting; such as advising of potential issues, trends, and improvements.

Person Specification:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional accountancy environment.
* To hold an ATT or formal tax qualification or qualified by experience.
* Confident in engaging with clients to build rapport and offer tax solutions and directions alongside the Director.
