Position: Finance Control Manager (Insurance / Financial Services)

Role Overview:
An established company is seeking a Finance Control Manager to lead its financial control team, playing a critical role in managing financial operations including ledger closure, employee expenses, and daily banking activities. The role encompasses leadership over the financial accounting and operations sub-teams, requiring extensive management experience preferably within financial services. The successful candidate will be adept in all aspects of financial accounting, possess strong analytical skills, and have a proven track record in process improvement and implementing control measures. This position reports to the Head of Financial Operations and involves close collaboration with various finance teams to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.

Responsibilities:

- Leadership and development of the financial control team.
- Ensuring timely ledger closure and the accuracy of financial reports.
- Continuous process optimization and control enhancement.
- Expert handling of transaction accounting and operational tax returns.
- Collaboration with Group reporting, FP&A, and Technical Accounting teams.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Oversight of daily invoicing, expenses, and treasury operations.

Requirements:

- Significant management experience in financial services.
- Expertise in financial accounting, control, and operations.
- Familiarity with treasury/banking operations and IFRS17.
- Qualified accountant with a background in financial control or operations.
