The Role
Eurotunnel is seeking a highly motivated Customer Service Agent (CSA) to join our Freight Customer Service Department. The CSA works on a 24/7 shift basis, delivering excellent customer service to passengers on our freight service.
This role is for you if you are passionate about working in a team, committed to offering a high quality of service for customers, have excellent communication skills, and have previous experience working in a customer-facing role.
Principal Accountabilities, Qualifications, and Experience
• Responding to customer needs to ensure their safety and security.
• Loading and unloading of truck shuttles, maximising capacity, and participating in punctuality.
• Performing pre-departure safety checks of customer vehicles on board and safety checks on departing truck shuttles, protecting the safety of passengers and property.
• Allocating customers to shuttles and respecting the rules of allocation.
• Conveying truck shuttle customers to and from a shuttle amenity car in a platform bus (PSV/Category D licence holders only).
• Compliance with the strict company Health and Safety (H&S) policy and procedure, reporting incidents as they occur to minimise injury, loss of property, and impact on operations.
• Respect for all other company policies including the environment policy and arrangements for waste disposal.
• A valid UK Driving licence is an absolute requirement. A PSV (category D) licence would be an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Significant experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within the travel industry.
• The ability to speak a second modern European language would be an advantage.
