Model Maker / Supervisor

Role Tasks and Responsibilities: This role is to support the other workers within the workshop environment to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing operations.
• Ensuring that all models, patterns, jigs & components are produced according to specifications provided,
• Supervision of model maker personnel,
• Ensuring orders are prepared to ensure timely deliveries,
• Assisting with blocking up & gluing of materials,
• Packaging and wrapping items for transport,
• Helping to ensure all areas of the workshop are clean and tidy,
• Assisting senior management by complying with all company policies regarding PPE and Health & Safety,
• Reporting any equipment or product defects when appropriate,
• Assisting in other areas of the workshop when needed – CNC Programming, Machining, Inspection,
• Assisting with stock control and audits,
• Ensure they are fully aware of the company’s quality related goals and objectives and works to achieve them were needed.

Desirable Qualities of Post Holder:
• Experience of working in a workshop/manufacturing environment;
• Forklift truck driving experience;
• Self-motivating and being able to work without constant supervision.
